This book is superb! Carolyn Rosenblatt has created an excellent road map that is a wonderful resource for the Baby Boomer in caring for an aging parent or loved one. Boomers are facing a new challenge of dealing with aging parents and there are TONS of things to figure out from Medicare, to power of attorney, in home care to choosing a nursing home. An excellent chapter devoted to ways to approach the very sensitive issue of driving helps you to ease into a discussion that is probably inevitable. Carolyn offers practical advise on dealing with family conflicts, to how to find a good lawyer, to standing up in the healthcare system for your loved one to tips on handling your loved one's financial affairs.
I found this book to be invaluable and an insightful comprehensive guide for this Baby Boomer to aid me in my caring for an aging loved one.
